In preparation of the historic visit of the Pope to Jerusalem in 2000, the Pontifical
Institute, Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center built a state of the art convention center.
We are honored to be able to host this meeting at such a unique and historic location.
The center, belonging to the Vatican, is located just outside of the Old City of Jerusalem
and is within a couple of minutes' walk from the New City Hall and the pedestrian mall
with many coffee houses, shops and bars.
The Conference will be conducted in English.
PASSPORTS AND VISAS
Prior to booking your flight ticket, please ensure that your passport is valid until January 1, 2020. Participants from some countries require a visa to enter Israel. We suggest that you check this with your travel agent or on the website of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
LETTER OF INVITATION
Upon request, the Secretariat will send a personal letter of invitation to participate in the Conference. It should be understood that such an invitation is only meant to assist participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa and does not represent a commitment on the part of the Committee.
The weather in Jerusalem in June is approx 15-28° C, 59-82°F during the day, but can be cooler at night. We recommend light clothing for the day and a jacket for the evening which can be cooler.
Participants should book their flights to Ben Gurion International Airport (near Tel Aviv).
Personal travel, luggage and health insurance are recommended. Please purchase this from your local travel agent. Kindly note the organizers and other sponsors cannot be responsible for participants lacking appropriate insurance coverage in case of need.
